Plan a Vacation in Hawaii
When it’s time for a bit of fun in the sun, nothing fits the bill as well as a Hawaii vacation.
Hawaii’s climate is fantastic all year long with gentle warm breezes a perfect change to the frigid temperatures back home, and in summer you will enjoy an 85 degree sun cooled by the fresh trade winds coming in from off the ocean. It’s not too cold and not too hot.
You could devote all your time at only the one particular island you like best, or experience the sights and sounds of all six. It is your choice, and each island features its own attractions and natural beauty to accommodate everyone.
Oahu is the most visited island in Hawaii. Even if it is just to change planes at the Honolulu airport, most visitors go to Oahu. In Oahu, you will find the modern city of Honolulu, which also is Hawaii’s state capitol. You will also discover beautiful Waikiki beach. Situated on the south shore of the island are Pearl Harbor and the museum which honors the USS Arizona that was sunk at the beginning of World War II.
The island of Kauai is situated to the north of Oahu. Kauai is, geologically, the oldest of all of the Hawaii Islands. There is much natural beauty to see on the island. You’ll also find many different options for charming getaways and outdoor activities.
To the south of Oahu is Molokai which enjoys a large population of indigenous Hawaiian people. You will discover a number of events on the island that are connected to the native Polynesian culture and heritage.
If you’re looking for a more relaxing Hawaiian vacation, Lanai will be the perfect island for you. It has no traffic lights and it is also the least densely inhabited of all Hawaii Islands. This is a great location for a tranquil romantic getaway, and Lanai features two golf courses.
And then we come to Maui, the second largest Hawaiian Island. This island happens to be in the middle of the humpback whale migration route, thus is perfect for whale watching through the winter. The beaches are extraordinary, and have proven to be the first choice for people looking for a peaceful beach vacation.
The Big Island of Hawaii is actually larger than the combined land mass of all the other Islands in Hawaii. Within the Big Island you’ll discover eleven of the planet’s thirteen climatic zones. You will also have the ability to visit a live volcano in addition to black sand beaches and snow covered mountains.
If you’re undecided about what island you’d prefer to spend most of your vacation, or if this is going to be your first Hawaiian vacation, then why not look at a Hawaii cruise vacation? You’ll board your luxurious cruise liner, upon which you will spend your nights, and after leaving Honolulu you will experience a day and a half on each island. What better way is there to view Hawaii for your first visit and then assess which island you like best?
If you do choose to spend time in the islands, you will find thousands of hotel rooms available. Additionally, you will find a vacation rental in Hawaii available for a relaxed home-away-from-home place to stay while you’re in Hawaii.
