The biggest difference between here and Los Angeles is the speed of life.
Los Angeles has a much faster lifestyle while Hawaii is a lot more laid back.
As for finding a job, you’ll find that the unemployment rate here in Hawaii is one of the lowest in the nation so finding a job may be difficult depending on what job field you’re looking at.
I would suggest you check out before you get here so you can have an idea of what’s available and what your salary range will be like,
Good luck and happy moving!

It’s easy to find a job. Harder to find a good job and may take months or years to find a great job. I think the rule of thumb about 1 week for every thousand dollars of pay is right. I am talking to someone next week that I first contacted 4 years ago! Great job though.
Hawaii and LA are much, much different. Think Japanese food and “local” (tasty!) food instead of Mexican food. Everyone is actually nice to each other. Instead of a drive by, we have drive by the beach.
We don’t use our horns here, unless it is an emergency. That’s the best way to describe the difference.
